Salvation

The most important thing in life is knowing where you will be going when you die. Heaven or hell. Whether you believe they exist or not, they are real. There is no special formula to be saved. You don't have to say so many prayers, memorize so many scriptures, know certain people. You just have to believe and ask...

First of all, you have to realize you are a sinner. So am I, so is Billy Graham - Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

You also need to understand that with sin, comes the consequence of death - Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death...". But its not hopeless. This verse finishes with "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

You can not work to get saved - Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

This is what you can do - I John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Romans 10:9-10 says "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

All you have to do is admit you are a sinner, confess to God you have sinned (no need to start listing, He already knows), ask for forgiveness, and ask Jesus to save you. Some people don't know what to pray so maybe this will help...

"Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you today to admit I am a sinner. I know it, You know it. I confess all my sins to you, Lord. I ask right now Jesus that you forgive me for my sins and take over my heart and life. I give it all to You. Thank You for dying for me, raising again for me, and saving me. In Jesus name, Amen."

If you prayed this prayer please leave a comment and let all the readers know. We all would love to pray for you and encourage you in your new walk with Christ!
